Csaba Kucsera, PhD, sociologist.
Csaba is a lecturer and head of office for Science Policy and Research Management at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary. His research and teaching activities cover various aspects of ageing from the micro level to meso and macro levels, including informal care and its effects on families; potential of ICT-enabled services for long-term care; intergenerational solidarity and fairness (equity); ageism; sustainability and adequacy of social protection systems; and European and national social policies on Active and Healthy Ageing. Csaba occasionally volunteers as an expert on ageing for various Hungarian and international NGOs. Earlier he worked for the European Commission’s DG Joint Research Centre and the Institut of Sociology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
